Prop Daily Charts: A Candle Boundary Is Not an Account-Day Rule
A daily candle groups market observations according to a chart’s chosen boundary. An account day follows the provider’s applicable definition. Keep the two clocks visible rather than assuming that a candle close confirms an evaluation reset.

Record the chart aggregation explicitly
Save the symbol, price field, interval, timezone and boundary convention used by the chart. A daily bar starting at 00:00 UTC groups a different set of observations from one starting at midnight in another offset. The market events themselves do not change when regrouped.
A London diary adds another dated display. Around seasonal changes, preserve the full original instants rather than assigning one fixed London offset to every date. A local calendar label is a presentation choice, not proof of an account-period assignment.
Place one fictional event in two buckets
Take a supplied event at 20:05 UTC on 23 October 2026. A UTC daily chart places it in the 23 October bucket. At fixed UTC+4 the display is 00:05 on 24 October. Those labels refer to one event, not two separate account observations.
Whether a provider update has actually occurred still needs its rule and observed state. HashHedge publishes market-specific update windows. A converted clock within a window is not confirmation that the account refresh has completed or that any activity requirement is satisfied.
| Record | Display or bucket | Evidence scope |
|---|---|---|
| Original instant | 23 Oct 2026 20:05 UTC | One supplied event |
| UTC daily chart | 23 October | Chart aggregation only |
| Fixed UTC+4 display | 24 October 00:05 | Different calendar label |
| Actual account day | Rule and status needed | Not established by candle close |
Preserve both records in the journal
The original candle-aggregation resource on this site remains available. Use the chart bucket for the chart question and the account evidence for the evaluation question. Do not move a confirmed fill into a different period just to improve the apparent daily result.
The optional sponsored HashHedge link offers current programme information. No chart settings, account clocks or trades are changed. The example illustrates record classification without claiming a current reset, live price or personal eligibility.
